Maintenance Tips

Change the Air Conditioner / Heater Filter in the attic every three months, if the system is used frequently. Filter Size: 15” x 24” x 1”

Maintenance Checklist

Follow this checklist for home maintenance.

Weekly
- Wash concrete patios and driveways with water.
Monthly
- Run a tray of ice cubes through the garbage disposal.
- Test smoke detectors and CO detectors.
- Clean or change A/C filter.
- Test garage door, and opener.
- Test Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) circuit breaker.
- Clean faucet aerators.
- Check the condition of paint on wood trim and doors, replace if necessary.
- Clean out window weepholes.
- Check caulking around showers and tubs, replace if necessary.
Quarterly
- Inspect garage door for loos inge screws. Check for wear on cables, rollers, and hinges.
- Lubricate the moving parts of your garage door.
- Drain the water heater.
Semi-annually
- Have you heating and cooling system serviced.
- Check weather stripping on doors and windows, and repair as needed.
- Check the garage door for balance.
Annually
- Check cords and plugs of all electrical appliances for wear.
- Replace backup batteries in smoke detectors.
- Clean lint from your clothes dryer exhaust pipe.
- Check door hardware, and tighten as needed.
- Have your carpets professionally cleaned.
- Check the batteries in your garage door remote control units.
